BREAK THE MONOTONY WITH MOSAICS
The first thing that we imagine to decorate a wall with tiles is to do it with tiles of a single color or, at best, incorporate a skirting board of a stronger color to break with the overall image and offer some originality and contrast. But we can find other solutions to get a much nicer wall, for example if we choose the option of using mosaics formed by small tiles of different colors and configurations. This kind of wall, with mosaics, is usually found in bathrooms.
People often think that these kinds of installations are more expensive. Certainly, they are right in the way they are less expensive than plain tiling with (or without) skirting board. But the combination of smooth tiles with mosaics creates personal and pleasant spaces. For example, in a bathroom with white tiles could be a great idea to reserve a space of the wall to place one (or more) meshes with small tiles of a different color, just to make them break with the rest of the decoration.
The arrangement of these small pieces in meshes allows it to be cut, giving the shape we want and make it even more personalized. One or two pieces, placed in a main place of the wall, can make it to gain presence and to highlight the decoration, creating a more personal and friendly image.
You can also create different designs using mosaics, cutting meshes so that they can combine shapes and colors, creating original drawings that call much attention and gives an entirely personal touch to the walls. The combination of shapes and colors creates an image that helps to achieve a unique atmosphere that defines the personality of the stay.
