TERRACOTTA, A HANDMADE DRESSING FLOOR TILE OF OUR HOME

TERRACOTTA, A HANDMADE DRESSING FLOOR TILE OF OUR HOME

Terracotta is a kind of tile that has a very special feature. It is not a tile that has received a very elaborate treatment, since it is only baked clay. This means that it is completely handmade. There are no ink or drawings on its surface. They are tiles that are only produced with clay, finishing by a baking process. The kind of clay that is used gives to the terracotta its shade. Depending on it, you can get a tone or another, as well as time they have past in the furnace, that also allow to play with colour and shades, making it muted or brighter.

Terracotta is baked clay, with no more additives, and it is ideal for rustic decoration

With those characteristics, decoration with terracotta is ideal for a rustic ambiance. It can be perfect for outdoor decoration, having a more rural and nice look, merging with other natural elements in the garden. In fact, it is an excellent combination with garden vegetation. As its touch is pleasant, you can walk barefoot on these very natural and comfortable spaces. Do you know anything more enjoyable than walk on terracotta when you come out of the pool? Inside, it combines perfectly with rustic furniture, better if wooden coloured and without varnishing. This kind of tiles look good with white or pickling furniture, although rustic ones are always the most appropriate for decoration with terracotta. The large range of shapes and shades make of it a very adequate and attractive option for rural housing where you want to get this aspect. You can see, in the video, how handcrafted terracotta tiles are made. Afterwards, they are baked in a furnace to take consistency. Then, they enter in our homes ready for placement.
