PLAIN OR PATTERN FLOORS?

When we renovate our floor tiles at home, we have to take in account different factors. One of them, which is very important, is what kind of design we are going to choose for our floors. What will be the best choice, a plain tile or a tile with a very discrete light pattern, or even a more complete design with patterns that are very obvious and are one of the protagonists of the space where it will be laid.

Although, as always, personal taste comes into play, we will try to offer a few tips to guarantee that the choice of your floor tiles will be a success.

First of all, furniture style must be clear. Although most of them can fit all designs, we have to think that most modern furniture "ask for" a more plain and simple tile model.

This kind of furniture are usually black and white, or have a more simple and minimalist aesthetic.  Classic furniture have a heavier appearance, darker colours and match very well with a stoneware style that provides a more classical look to the room where they are laid.

In one of the options that we will find at halfway between one style and the other one, we can find designs that fit other elements with drawings  that create carpets, frames and other options that allow to create a different and unique space using the floor tiles.

The surface of the room, small or large, and its shape (rectangular or squared...) also offers variations in the data. It is the reason why it is very important to know perfectly where the tile will be placed. Each room has its own personality and we must know all of its features in order to always make the best choice.
